The house is located in the quiet southern part of the port town of L'Aiguillon sur Mer, close to many beaches and the Pointe, a pristine beach and bird sanctuary. La Tranche sur Mer and La Faute can easily be reached by bike. All imaginable water sports are available there. Only 40 km (25 miles) from La Roche and about 70 km (43.5 miles) (by car) or 1 hour by sailing boat from the Ile de Ré. The nearest large town is La Roche sur Yon (50 km or 31 miles), Nantes Airport is at 122 km (76 miles) and Luzon (train station) is at 21 km (13 miles). Just 61 km (38 miles) away is the famous seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olonne. An absolute must for climbers is the Indian Forest in Moutier-les-Mauxfait (26 km)!
