Description

The house below is directed outwards, it's has three bedrooms of which one downstairs has a beautiful view of the garden, a modern bathroom with walk-in shower. A large living room and well insulated open plan living- kitchen/ conservatory with view on the organic kitchen garden, the river, the waterfall and the meadows. The centre building has a large workshop, also to be used as living room, four stables for storage, a large garage, an attic, basement and a nicely finished room. The top house is the old miller's house and has a spacious, simple kitchen/diner, large living room with original French ceiling, an old brick furnace and three bedrooms on the top floor. WC and shower cubicle are on the ground floor. The miller's house is sometimes rented out to nature lovers.

Exterior

The forest (hornbeam hedging, oak and acacia) provides more than enough wood for heating all year round and the property has been managed as a natural reserve where there are butterflies (over a hundred counted species). badgers, marters, wild cat, lizards and many different bird species. We are reworded for this careful management: there are kingfishers to be spotted here and does bring their young to the property. With a bit of luck you might even sport the odd wild boar here. For two months, a beaver inspects our site and we hope that he or she wants to settle along the banks of the river.

Other information

Almost all windows are double glazed. The property has potential to yield a good income (B & B, Camping place, Holiday Rentals, groups, etc..). This was never our priority as we spent most of our time enjoying the place. You can make endless walks here on the private terrain, on the quiet roads, in the forests, and the cafe/restaurant is only 400 metres away. Three larger towns with all amenities are 14 kms away as well as a large leisure lake.
