The Chateau de Bru is located at the intersection of Tarn and Garonne, and Lot and Garonne, and not far from Gers (in southwestern France). Where the best weather in France is most often found!! Which many people do not know! The château is on the edge of a valley on the ruins of a fortified castle, certain remains of which can still be seen. After the destruction of the fortified castle (during the 16th century religious wars), another was built in the following centuries. The spot is incredibly calm and peaceful, only 5 km from Castelsagrat (royal bastide) and Valence d'Agen (12 km) and 25 km from Agen.

Description

Entering through a magnificent entry with a painted ceiling, to the left and right are suites for guests (vaulted ceiling + shower, toilet, etc.), a large kitchen and at the end of the hall, a small salon with a large fireplace and splendid dining room with a staircase and stucco reliefs. The staircase, with its 17th century woodwork and to the left the great hall/gallery and after the staircase, to the right two bedroom, bathrooms and toilets and living rooms. The staircase then leads to the library and above is the attic having a surface area of the entire house (500m²)

Exterior

The site is surrounded by a park with its wells and has exceptional view of the valley and on the other side of the valley are found the famous historic villages of Montjoy and St Maurin, with their ancient Cluniac abbey. Various outbuildings with my large studio (33x12m) with transom window.

Other information

Entirely renovated fuel central heating, radiators in each room, even in the hall.
8-year old septic tank.
