A bright, spacious and well presented Maison de Maître, built in 1870. Sitting on the edge of a village just into the Vienne from its border with the Deux Sevres it’s double aspect gives far reaching views over open fields. Just a five minute drive from Thenezay, the nearest small town with shops, hairdressers, restaurants , bar/tabac and a supermarket as well as doctors, dentist and pharmacy, schools and sports hall. Situated halfway between the university town of Poitiers and the historic town of Parthenay.
Plenty to see and do: Poitiers is home of the very popular attraction of Futurescope 20 minutes. Chateaux of the Loire valley plus or minus 1 hour. Ancient city of Tours 1 hour. Puy de Fou (wonderful entertainment for all ages) 100 minutes. Atlantic coast including the extremely popular La Rochelle 90 minutes. A good area for all sports including golf, fishing, boating, walking and cycling. Several airports are within easy reach: Twenty minutes from Poitiers airport and TGV station to Paris and Bordeaux, and also airports in Tours, Nantes and La Rochelle. There are ferry ports in Northern France within 3-5 hours drive.
