Authentic village house to renovate in Burgundy for sale , beautiful view
Price: € 14 950 | Ref.: 2502 | Views: 10 311
This semi-detached village farmhouse with numerous authentic details offers a magnificent view. This lovely farmhouse in the Burgundy is now for sale. The house overlooks a valley with woods, meadows and in the depths a small river. The house needs to be completely renovated and made habitable. The house is located in the charming village of Montigny les Cherlieu (with bakery / grocery), in the Ht Saone, South-West of the Vosges, 600 km. from Utrecht and about 45 km. east of Langres.
Entrance, spacious kitchen (approx. 5 x 6 m.) with large fireplace, beautiful built-in cupboards and a beautiful tiled floor. Connection to the municipal water supply is available. Drainage has yet to be realized. Also electricity still needs to be installed in the house. A staircase leads to the upstairs bedroom (approx. 4 x 6 m.) which only needs a limited renovation and can be quickly put into use. In a small extension to the kitchen, the now completely missing bathroom and toilet can be realized. From the kitchen you reach the large living room (approx. 5 x 8 m.) at the rear of the house. The garden doors open onto a platform with stunning views over the valley. The living room also has a beautiful, old oak parquet floor and a fixed, antique linen cupboard. The extension at the back of the house is on the inside vwb. the floors and beams in bad condition, but the outside walls are good. Consideration can be given to demolish this extension completely, but renovation and the realization of for example a bedroom is also certainly a possibility, because from the present window there is a beautiful view over the valley. From the kitchen there is also a passage to the barn (with a large arched door) and the various hayloft where several more rooms can be realized.
The exterior facades are made of natural stone, and in good condition. The walls are partly plastered and partly with 'pierre aparente', i.e. with visible natural stones. The roof of the main building is in order and closed. The connection with the walls needs some attention here and there. The truss is made of oak, so woodworm resistant. The roof connection of the main building with the extension at the back has to be renovated as well as the wall underneath of which a small part has collapsed and needs to be rebuilt. The well-organized backyard is located on the South East. Next to the house is a path so that the backyard can be reached. Outside the village you are directly in nature.
The property currently has insufficient facilities to be habitable, but that is what the price is for. A property suitable for a handyman or for people with any budget for renovation. Various loose furniture, a wood stove, vanity unit and materials etc. are all available to take over if desired. Offered for sale by the owner, so there is no broker involved in the sale.
