The fast TGV, direct from Paris (only 2½ hours away), is served by regular and efficient services to the stations at both Poitiers and Saint Maixent L’École. It takes four hours to drive to St Malo for ferries to cross the channel to the UK or Eire.

The garden has fruit trees – cherries, apples, plums and pears - and is very easily maintained. There are raised beds to cultivate vegetables. Securely fenced chicken coop and living quarters which presently holds four chickens. Fresh eggs every day! The outbuildings (a very large workshop and car port) are all assets. The courtyard at the front has a fully functioning well with water all year round to keep the plants happy. For the vegetables at the top of the garden there is a 2000L rain water cube.
