Price: € 695 000 | Ref.: 3744 | Views: 944
The chalet is located in the ski village of Oz-en-Oisans in the French Alps. With Grenoble nearby, the area is easily accessible by car, plane and train. The village, a few minutes walk from the chalet, has shops, restaurants, a swimming pool and other amenities and ski lifts accessing Alpe d’Huez, Vaujany and other ski areas. Oz-en-Oisans is part of the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine de Ski, offering direct access to 250km of pisted runs. 84 lifts access 34 green, 31 blue, 30 red and 16 black pistes, two snowparks, a boardercross park and a half pipe. It boasts the world’s longest black run, a 16km piste descending over 2200m from the summit of Pic Blanc (altitude 3300m). It is a year round destination and in summer you can enjoy a network of hiking and mountain biking trails, rock climbing and other outdoor activities, with ski lifts running throughout the summer to provide easy access to the mountains. The area is also a cycle touring paradise, with the climbs to Alpe d’Huez, the Col du Glandon and Col de Galibier famous from the Tour de France.
You enter the chalet through the mid level entrance hall, which has an electric boot warmer and space for ski and boot storage. A hallway opens into a large living and dining area, with two lounge seating areas, a separate toilet and dining tables seating 16-18. A brand new kitchen is fully equipped with high quality appliances to cater for a large group. Double doors open onto a large terrace. The upper level consists of three bedrooms, two with balconies, the other with extensive storage space. There is a shower room, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Downstairs there are four bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower room, two further shower rooms and a separate toilet.
The chalet is currently configured to sleep 16, with two of the bedrooms having three single beds and the rest two beds. There are lockable storage areas on the mid and lower levels should you wish to rent the chalet out.
The house is set among trees on a 651sqm plot, with distant views over a valley to mountains. There are no other properties in front to spoil the view.
The chalet has electric heating, with underfloor heating to the mid and lower levels, together with three large hot water tanks. The mid and lower floors are tiled, with wood laminate flooring on the upper floor. The construction makes attractive use of large wooden beams and wood panelling. The chalet has been extensively renovated in recent years, including a new kitchen and appliances, painting of internal walls, new flooring to the upper level and painting of the external wood and walls.
